A Trip to Lookout Farm

Looking for great cider, food, a relaxing vibe and amazing views? Take a trip to Lookout Farm and you will not be disappointed!

Lookout Farm is located in Natick, Massachusetts and has been around as far back as the 1600s, with multiple changes in ownership over the years. I’ve lived in Massachusetts most of my life (with a short stint in RI), and I never heard of this place until this year. I feel like I’ve been missing out, but I made up for it by going twice already this summer. Just look at how beautiful this is!

What to expect on a trip to Lookout Farm

First, and foremost, the views are gorgeous! I love being on a farm – for some reason it makes me feel comfortable and relaxed, and that is definitely how I experienced my time at Lookout Farm. They have so much space, so for a time when outdoor dining and social distancing is important for most, this is a great place to be. On one side, they have red picnic tables, some with umbrellas and even sections covered by a tent to keep shaded. Then, if you take a walk toward the orchards, you will find a section with Adirondack chairs and lawn games. This is also the spot where you can get gelato and take a stroll down the walking path, so don’t forget to venture over.

Each time I’ve gone, I ended up spending hours there, catching up with friends. It was such a great experience because you can take your time ordering through a QR code at the table as many times as you want, and the staff do not rush you out. You just scan the code with your phone to view the menu and order either as a table or individually. They make it so easy, and the service is fast!

The staff is also very friendly, and they are constantly cleaning the tables as people leave. If you are lucky you will meet one special staff who took the time to chat with my table and tell us a few jokes. I wish I asked his name, but he was a delight and put a big smile on my and my friend’s faces. I would try to share one of his jokes but would not do it justice. He deserves to share them with you when you visit.

Food & Drink Suggestions

If you are a cider lover, this is a must visit! My two favorites (so far) are the Cherry and Rosé flavors, but they have so much more including IPAs, spiked frozen lemonade, sangria and sodas if you aren’t interested in an alcoholic drink. I imagine their beers and ciders are seasonal, so I am looking forward to seeing what they have in the fall. The great thing is you can taste a few and then visit “The Farm Stand” on the way out to take your favorites home.

Last but certainly not least is the food. They have such a variety of options that I would not expect from a farm, like pizza, burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, specialty salads, crab rolls, and even small plates like veggies & hummus. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious.

  • Cheese Box
  • Top Knot Pretzel – comes with an amazing cheese sauce
  • Frozen Grapes – yes, you heard that right, and they are worth the try. I currently have some in my freezer because they are that good. Mine are pictured below.
  • Tater Tots – these were sweet and spicy with blue cheese sprinkled on top, and to die for
  • Farmer’s Salad – this is one of my favorite salads to make myself, and they did it perfectly

I cannot say enough about how great this place is! While I did not do this yet, you can even go there to pick fruit that is in season. I am looking forward to going pumpkin picking there soon, but you can check their website to see what is available throughout the year.

I hope you will take a day trip to Lookout Farm soon.
